I had a Asus Xonar DX that lasted two days, for the two days the sound worked, in VLC and youtube flash like videos, using the default Playback Device. The side/rear speakers work when I play Battlefield 2 Bad Company. I have 5.1 speakers connecting with 3 jacks. When i play audio files in VLC the same happens, no sound out of side/rear speakers.
I have the Realtek Azalia audio chip on my motherboard and flash on youtube never plays sound on my rear/side speakers.
